The Wall House Surgery – Reigate

REDEVELOPMENT of Doctor’s surgery
Drawing on the teams experience in the public sector, Alcema successfully tendered the re-development of the Wall House Surgery located in Reigate, Surrey. Our team have worked closely with the Client and Client representatives in order to deliver a project that meets the needs of the Practice Partners and their patients.
New Year
The new year has seen major works take place, including the partial demolition of the main surgery. This involved co-ordinated activities between our strip out contractors and ground workers. During the course of demolition, we encountered some challenges – there was additional asbestos which has not been captured in the original asbestos survey. Due to our team’s experience in asbestos management we were able to isolate the problem and take remedial action very quickly – limiting delays to the project.

APRIL 2017
All foundations have been laid following silo installation and we are currently laying bricks for the various extensions to the main property.

JUNE 2017
Brick and Block work is almost complete and we are anticipating roof work commencing in the next 2 weeks.

July 2017
Roof works have been undertaken throughout the month, we are currently working in phases based on the nature of the project requirements.

OCTOBER 2017
Project progress has been slow based on design issues. We are working closely with our client and their representatives to keep the project moving forward.

November 2017
With the end of the year fast approaching we’ve achieved a lot throughout this month, including a new Design Team joining the project team who are in the process of reissuing drawings. They will be working closely with our in-house technical specialist Stephen Edmonds to incorporate previous RFI documentation and address outstanding M&E design issues.
