Civil Aviation Authority’s New Head Quarters – London

We are well on the way to completing a PRESTIGIOUS project in the financial heart of London
full d&b of cat b fit out
Alcema were appointed by the Civil Aviation Authority in January 2019 to carry out and complete a full D&B of CAT B fit out to approximately 17,500 ft, for their new state-of-the-art Head Office in Canary Wharf. The works comprise the following:
- The removal and installation of ceilings sections
- Implementation of a fully revised mechanical and electrical scheme, with major alterations and installations including state-of-the-art AV systems, comms infrastructure, hardware equipment and Dali controlled feature lighting
- With impressive panoramic views overlooking the City of London and the Thames, the designers have made the best use of the latest curtain glass partitions systems to help enhance the daily working environment for the CAA team
- Other facilities for the CAA staff include the installation of the new townhall kitchen welfare area with a 98” TV Monitor, library, tea point, additional WC facilities and a drying room facility
- The designers have chosen a mix of contemporary and modern floor finishes for the project, ranging from soft and hard vinyl/ceramic finishes.
- The wall areas will be complemented with a high level of finishes, bespoke joinery units, client sourced artwork and graphics
Looking forward
This project is well on track to complete in May and the CAA project team have agreed to hold a pre-completion staff engagement session, so that new stakeholders can be part of the handover process for their new state of the art working environment.
