WORKS METHODOLOGY
The scheme included the partial demolition and cut and carve of the existing shell, with below ground services alterations/ mods, (Mains Incomers/Foul & Rainwater etc). The new shell was constructed using conventional concrete slab, tubular steel frame and mezzanine deck, large Pilkington Planar curtain glazed sections to the front elevation, bespoke KME Tecu Patina copper cladding and an advanced standing seam aluminium Kalzip curved roof section. LIVE ENVIRONMENT
Working within the the UK’s largest service station, particular attention needed to be applied to appropriate demarcation between our site and pedestrian access areas. We ensured from the outset that hoarding lines were established, secured and maintained. The use of Banksman for all activities that involved moving vehicles was employed as was the ‘no reversing’ rule.
