The Client engaged our team to complete an extensive fit-out and refurbishment that comprised a number of separate elements across two buildings.The key client value was to ensure minimal disruption to building operations and a seamless transition for students into the refurbished premises by the start of the calendar year.

    OVERVIEW

    Complete refurbishment and fit-out of communal areas and shared spaces including corridors.

    WORKS METHODOLOGY

    The first element of this project included complete refurbishment and fit-out to accommodate the needs of student residents. The new fit-out included the main foyer, study rooms, a gaming room, breakout spaces and corridors. Further elements involved refurbishment and fit-out of the private fitness centre, laundry rooms and private cinema.

    COMMUNICATION

    We provided works notifications at the beginning of each week to enable the facilities management team to prepare in advance, so they were well aware of what works were occurring and in what locations. This assisted the client’s property division to keep their staff well informed at all times. We also ensured close tracking of the programme and forward planning, and provided material alternatives to ensure that the project was delivered on time.
