    OVERVIEW

    Located in close proximity to the iconic Harrods department store in Knightsbridge, this project consisted of 2 stages which included refurbishment of office reception, lifts, toilets and ancillary areas.

     

    The client required a fit-out specialist with the skill and vision to create a contemporary reception entrance and upgrade of the toilets and lifts over 8 floors.

    WORKS METHODOLOGY

    Stage 1 – Reception

    Phase 1 – Our team stripped the entire reception area, taking it back to the substrate. We installed a Remix system with feature LED lighting to accentuate the finish on the panels; feature lighting systems were also installed to the ceiling and perimeters. Floors and walls, including the lifts, were laid with porcelain tiles.

     

     

    Stage 2 – Toilets and Lifts

    Following the successful completion of phase 1, reception works in the building, we were engaged by the client to undertake the complete refurbishment of toilet alterations across 8 floors including the installation of walk-in showers across alternate floors.

     

    We stripped out all sanitary ware, cubicles, IPS paneling, lights and flooring. We installed bespoke panelling systems throughout, including walls and cubicles. Where shower installation was required we undertook diamond drilling to install shower drains. We also installed volume control dampers to the existing extract ventilation systems, balancing the system upon completion to achieve extract rates required within the Shower Rooms. All walls and floors were finished with Marazzi tiles, providing a modern, clean finish.

    LIVE ENVIRONMENT

    We utilised phasing throughout the project and ensured prior to works commencing that we engaged with Facilities Management to ensure that all tenants were aware of the Works taking place and of other available facilities whilst working on their floors.

     

    The project was completed whilst maintaining full service provision for the tenants throughout the project.

    OUTCOME

    This elegant result was achieved whilst maintaining full service provision for the tenants throughout both phases of the project.

     

    The successful completion of these projects led to Alcema undertaking further works with this client involving full refurbishment of a first-floor office space also in Knightbridge.
